Foto Knoll was a small company from Leipzig that made a limited number of cameras but mainly sold cameras from other manufacturers until the 1930s. This camera is a Certix B from Certo-Camera-Werk in Dresden. The name of the Foto Knoll model is uncertain, but the company name is embossed in the leather.
It is a simple camera corresponding to the Certix B from 1937. It was made for 6 x 4.5 format in film 120, having two red windows on the back with a sliding cover. The release is on the body. The lens is a Schneider-Kreuznacht Radionar with a focal length of 10.5 cm and a maximum aperture of 4.5. The shutter is a Gauthier Prontor II.
